Ashtanga

Ashtanga Yoga is a very popular style of yoga that has its roots in what is sometimes called power yoga, and is a dynamic style that emphasizes a continuous series of poses. Beginning with the Sun Salutation Pose, it continues on with a series of 82 asanas (poses) while focusing on the breath and continues at a vigorous tempo.
The roots of Ashantga are said to stretch back 2500 years, and is based on the classic Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and the 8 limbs of yoga. It was reinvigorated for the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.

Freestyle Yoga

A freestyle approach to yoga transforms yoga practice into a living, breathing, authentic yoga - not defined by rigid form, but by spaciousness, fluidity, and naturalness. Freestyle integrates a variety of perspectives on the body and mind; ancient and modern, cross-cultural, personal, interpersonal, and scientific. Without limits of tradition or culture, we make use of the full spectrum of tools for available to us for self-regulation, balanced energy, physical functionally, and vibrant health.

Classical yogic movement serves as a springboard into movement guided by the flow of our body's energies, merging with the creative pulse of nature into more expressive, exploratory, responsive action. We take cues from the intricacies of human anatomy, spiraling forms of nature, and primal movement patterns to facilitate subtle inner movement, ease, efficiency and intimacy with our biological roots. While conditioning the body with smart and subtle techniques we simultaneously build flexibility of mind. The result is a uniquely engaging and vitalizing yoga experience.

Yin Yang Yoga

Yin/Yang yoga is a practice that balances the slow-paced Yin yoga with the traditional Yang yoga (Ashtanga and Hatha). Yin/Yang yoga has its roots in China in the Taoist concepts of yin -- a feminine, passive, cooling energy -- and yang -- a masculine, dynamic, warming energy. Just as the Taoists believe that yin and yang complement each other and one cannot exist without the other, the Yin/Yang yoga practice uses both types of yoga to provide both physical and spiritual balance.

Kundalini

Kundalini yoga is also called the "yoga of awareness." Originally known as Laya yoga, the practice was brought to the West in 1969 by Yogi Bajan, the founder of 3HO (Happy, Healthy, Holy Organization). The primary aim of Kundalini yoga is to awaken the kundalini energy, which lies coiled, serpent-like, at the base of the spine. In Kundalini yoga, practitioners use breathing exercises, physical postures, chanting and meditation to unlock this energy.
